Private Investigator. Paranatural hybrid.
Sable takes the cases no one else will. With a haunted past, and a strict personal code, she walks the city’s grey zones like they owe her rent.

- Style: Tactical boots, well worn A-2 flight jacket, sharper tongue
- Quirks: Hand-rolls her smokes, drinks scotch

🩸 Tess Calder
Paranormal Medical Examiner. Born a dahmpyr.
Dr. Tess Calder doesn’t talk much about her past—but her presence speaks volumes. Her reputation as the city’s top para pathologist is only matched by her uncanny ability to read blood—by taste.
- Eyes: Garnet-red (yes, you read that right)
- Style: Cold-pressed precision in a silk wrap
- Tools of the Trade: Twin sidearms, red gloves, steel straws
- Rumors: Some say the kin blood in her veins has a dark lineage. Don’t let her hear you say that.
- Abilities: Inherited sangromancy
🐾 Pyewacket (“Pye”)
Familiar. Former sorceress. Currently: Cat.
Pye has claws, snark, and centuries of wisdom. She rides on Sable’s shoulder, protects her fiercely, and offers cutting commentary whenever possible.

- Speech: Only to those who know—and only when she wants to
- Personality: Dry wit, sharp eyes, loyal to a fault (but would never admit it)
- Secret: She wasn’t always a cat. And she remembers everything, but she’s not telling—yet.
🕯️Rowena “Ro” Dusk
Witch. Artisan. Arcane engineer.
Ro runs a cluttered little shop called Dusk and Dagger where magic hums beneath floorboards and nothing gets sold without a story.
- Style: Crone-chic—sleeves rolled, collar open, tools in her pockets, wisdom in her stare. More than one person has mentioned a strong resemblance to Helen Mirren.
- Hair: Silver, cropped short
- Reputation: The para community comes to Ro when things break—bones, bindings, or hearts
- Quirks: Wears a jeweler’s loupe like a headband; has a bad habit of always being right
- Tools of the Trade: Silver-threaded gloves, enchanted measuring calipers, tea that tells the truth
- Secret: Ro once walked among high circles, before trading power for privacy. She doesn’t regret it. Usually.
